We added a feature to Neetrix today that will either make you shout with JOY or say ‘you what’? Shall I explain?
If you use Neetrix to run one business then you are unlikely to notice any differences; don’t get me wrong using Neetrix for your business is great and we are really glad that we can help you. If there is anything (whatever it is, and however small it is) that we can do to make Neetrix work better for you please let us know! However if you use Neetrix to power multiple businesses, or perhaps you consult for more than one business; you have likely come across one limitation. You couldn’t access more than one company at a time on the Neetrix platform until now!
For example if you opened up your Printing Company’s accounting screen and then opened another browser tab for the stock screen of your Wedding Stationery Company things would go a little wonky. The problem is that the Neetrix system couldn't be sure which company you wanted to look at; was it the one you had open first, or the one you looked at last?
So at the request of our users we have added the ability for every company to have their very own “administration address”. This is like a subsection of Neetrix for each of your companies; this not only means that you can have multiple companies open at once in your browser tabs, you can also bookmark areas of Neetrix for specific companies! Here is an example:
Alice and Bob run two companies; their Pie Shop in the center of town (Alice and Bob’s Cottage Pie Shop), and their wholesale business (Pies R Us). Alice is the brains of the outfit she is great with the pies, and great with the computer; Bob on the other hand.... well lets not go there. They use Neetrix to run the businesses, unfortunately Bob get’s a bit confused between the two companies and often sends invoices for big pie deliveries from the wrong businesses. But now thanks to the Neetrix administration addresses it’s really easy for them to see which company they are using: cottagepie.admin.neetrix.com and piesrus.admin.neetrix.com
Alice can email Bob a link to the latest stock sheet for Pies R Us and there is no chance that he will end up looking at the Cottage Pie sheets! To make things even easier they can now bookmark their most used sections of Neetrix for each company. So rather than having to login to Neetrix and navigate to the section they need after selecting the company; they can just click a bookmark, login and they are there!
Back to the upgrade, along with the “administration addresses” this upgrade has allowed us to include some more subtle feature, for example: Your previous searches are now company specific rather than being across your entire Neetrix account.
To sum it up, this upgrade to Neetrix is for people that have more than one business or consult for more than one business. We have been so busy this year at Neetrix that we haven’t even had the chance to say “Happy New Year” to you all, so here it is.

Already this year we have bolted on two new features to Neetrix Contacts; Relationships and external ‘external email accounts’. For those of you who are heavily into referral marketing relationships should be a dream. Looking into the future Neetrix Contacts will allow you to build contact maps, letting you determine the worth of referrals (or any other relationship type).
The new “Email Accounts” section of Neetrix is the first step on the road to a full Neetrix Inbox. Inbox is close to becoming the central place to manage your emails (even from external suppliers like GMail and Google Apps). This will allow you to improve your contact workflows, every email will be matched up with the sender's contact; showing all their details be it tasks, note, jobs, orders or events. We are still reviewing and designing the inbox system, we don’t want to add something that is too expensive or compromises the efficiency of Neetrix.

The Contact Filter feature was developed by our team at Neetrix last year, and has since received a lot of very positive feedback and proven to be extremely useful to our customers. This reporting feature has improved Neetrix capability to create complex filters that you can use to identify key contacts for your campaigns or your potential renewable leads.
An example of such a contact filter would be filtering everyone from a certain postcode that has been in a particular contact group for a number of days and have a certain status but, because we have complete accounting integration too, can also filter out who did not purchase anything in the last 6 months.
The advanced filtering options can offer more fine-grained control over which customers to target for a specific marketing campaign. By filtering customers who have or have not purchased a specific product, or product group, during a specific period you can have additional control not just over your customers’ purchasing patterns, but also on how to act on the data you have gathered.
The Contact Filter addresses the need for businesses to target customers based on specific information. Your customers’ behaviour can be captured and used to better market your products. The new feature can help you segment the groups not just by choosing certain persons, but by including information on how interested they are in your products, or what they are interested in. The new integrated filter in the easy to use Neetrix interface brings together not just demographics but also psychographics.
For your business to grow, your marketing efforts need to rely on solid data. By tracking the data and analyzing it using the new Neetrix feature, you can be sure that all your marketing efforts will be worthwhile.
Although the ability to filter customers by their status, group or contact information has been embedded in our Neetrix suite since we started, we have developed the Contact Filter to the point of it becoming an even more useful tool for managing your accounts.

And once you’ve imported your customers, Neetrix allows you to export all your accounting information in Excel. This can be done for any given period for Excel 2007 and 2010.
We have built a robust import and export mechanism into our business software in order for you to benefit from the flexibility to do exactly what you specifically need for your particular business. You can easily import your customer information from any existing database and add it to your e-commerce store. Such a feature can be useful when you are moving to Neetrix from another e-commerce application, from your accounting software or any other CRM. Once you have added an online store to StoreFront, you can use this feature to add all the customer accounts that are already in your accounting. This way your customers will easily and smoothly start using your virtual store and you do not have to spend time formatting your files in order to access them for your e-commerce application.
You can either add new customer accounts or update and append existing customer information. If you have kept customer information on paper, in spreadsheets, in an accounting program but you now want to use a central database for all your customer information, then Neetrix is what you have been looking for.
Your customer database may include contact details, customer preferences, communication history, sales history, payments. Using our new feature, your data accuracy will be improved and you do not have to go through the hassle of synchronizing multiple sources of data.

An additional feature has been added to StoreFront in order to reduce administration for you and offer your clients a speedy checkout process. This new feature can automatically calculate the total delivery costs based on size and weight of the entire order and at the same time for any delivery options preferred by users.

The new Neetrix notification area provides you with this platform. It gives you immediate access to the most important information about your business no matter where you are in the system.
Through the years, we, at Neetrix, are continually proving our commitment to make your online business experience more organized and systematic, yet still fun and exciting. This new addition to the administration site is such an example, where the monitoring of your business online is both easy and informative.
The new notification bar can be found at the bottom of the administration website. It is always visible and holds various types of alerts and “quick access” tools. The first of the many features of the notification bar are Customer Actions. Neetrix Customer Actions are very helpful for a business as it will let you set reminders and tasks for an individual customer in the CRM system. It will allow you to see what appointments are coming up, actions that are due, and even those tasks that are over due. As you click on a Customer Action on the notification bar, you will be taken directly to the customer’s profile in the CRM system.
In the coming months, our Neetrix engineers will be adding more and more tools on the notification bar making it a primary point of reference in understanding the progress of your business and the jobs that you and your staff need to undertake for a successful business.

Whilst we continue with completing StoreFront, a small update was put out today to address the final version of Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) which was released last night.
It has already been our aim to ensure that Neetrix, as an online software product, is not restricted to only a few of the main stream browsers you may wish to use, and this includes the latest version of Microsoft's web browser. Now the entire administration area is fully working with the newest browser without any need to enable IE's "Compatibility Mode" feature.
We constantly check Neetrix again a lot of different browsers whenever new work is done or changes have been made, and have now officially added IE8 to that list.
It has been a busy week, and all the hard work has not been in vein. Today saw more updates for the new Neetrix CRM (Customer Relationship Manager) as more elements were added to SiteFront which now tie the two products together even further. It is now possible to have customers register on your website, adding them directly to your customer database. Not only does this save double entry, but the new elements allow you to configure exactly what information you want to get from the new customer, and to pre-configure any default customer status and/or group that you wish them to start in.
What is more, you can also pre-configure any default action on the account. For example, you can set a task, for a specific member of staff, to manually validate the account, or to set a period of days after the registration in which to have a member of your team contact the customer. In fact the customer actions feature of Neetrix CRM has become a versatile tool with businesses using it in a number of ways, including keeping on top of customer tasks, to using it as an appointment and scheduling system.
The new CRM product is already becoming a very popular essential tool for any business whether used standalone, or as an integral part of other Neetrix services. We've received exceptional feedback because of how easy Neetrix CRM is to use, and how quick it is to setup to suit a very wide ranged of businesses.

It's common and too easy to make judgements based on what a fraction of your clients, or perhaps a few friends and family, may have suggested. As trusting as these sources may be, and even though they do have your business at heart, it still is just a tiny amount of information to which make a potentially huge decision against.
Today saw the completion of the Neetrix CRM extra details feature, that allows you to extend the quantity and quality of information you hold on your customers. Having as much factorial information regarding all of your customers can present some massive opportunities that would otherwise may not even have been considered.
Now you can specify any amount of extra information built from a selection of various types, such as straight forward text to dates and times. And you can even pick which information is essential enough to be displayed on the front page of the customer profiles, so that it is immediately available whenever a customer is viewed.
For those superstitious types, Friday the 13th is generally seen as an unlucky day, but that simply isn't the case for Neetrix customers today.
We have just released another series of updates, the most significant of which was with the customer management tools that come with Neetrix StoreFront. In the past, access to the customer management tools would only be available if your account has StoreFront available. However, now you can have all the benefits of managing and tracking your customer information online without needing the complete e-commerce application.
All these customer tools will be available under Neetrix CRM which will the newest product in the Neetrix Suite, and provides you the ability to manage, track, and sales force your way through your customer information online within Neetrix. Having access to your customer information from anywhere in the world, tracking what tasks need to be done with each individual customer and keeping a history of customer notes are all essential tools for a successful business, and Neetrix CRM offers all of these plus much more.
By using Neetrix CRM with Neetrix SiteFront content management system, you can also create multiple secured customer areas on your business websites! This means that you can now provide rich content and online tools that are only available to those that you choose.

Along with further updates to the Neetrix system, as well work being carried out on the, soon to be announced, 7th product in the Neetrix online business software suite, the strongest 256bit encryption layer was added to the administration site to ensure that your data and your customers data remains ultimately safe.
Ever since the Neetrix platform was a twinkle in the eye, it has always been the top of our priorities to ensure that the system is always responsive, and that includes SiteFront sites as well.
Today saw another update that spearhead the clean look and feel of the administration area whilst improving the already very fast response times even more, and adding additional means to ensure SiteFront business websites are also faster.
People like fast websites, and this has even been highlighted by Google where they now include the response times into their page ranking. What this means is that if a competitor site is faster than your own business site, they will have better search engine ranking that you will. This is why we take response times so seriously, as a successful website is based up how well it is found.
Improvements were also made to the way page content is managed within SiteFront based on the feedback we received, so that it is more apparent to where you are adding content on the page, and easier to understand the different areas to which content is accepted.
We would like to thank everyone that has sent us feedback. It has really helped to shape Neetrix into the great business software solution. There is more planned improvements but will now place all of the development effort into completing the StoreFront which a lot of our clients have been eagerly waiting for.
One of the hardest technical challenges when developing web based applications like Neetrix, especially when it includes advanced page editing systems like Neetrix SiteFront CMS, is making it all work across all the different operating systems and web browsers.
This is something easily taken for granted, but to actually accomplish some ideal user screens, even on today's modern browsers, can be difficult. Even with browsers following standards, they interpret many things differently.
Today we put out another update from over Christmas and the New Year, that handles some of these challenges, ensuring that Neetrix isn't just compatible with one or two web browsers, but across all major web browsers, on all major operating systems.
We look forward to this month's development as we continue with Neetrix StoreFront ecommerce and product management application, and the CRM (customer relationship manager) that comes with it.
One of the most consistant questions people often ask me about SiteFront is whether they need to upload their websites. It's a common practice with standard webhosting, but Neetrix is so very different. Many people don't quite believe how easy it actually is use Neetrix SiteFront to manage their websites, esspecially when I tell them that they don't have to upload their websites anymore. Everything you do is done through a web browser and will appear immediately.
Infact, it only hits home that it really is just that simple, when they set up their websites, and they are making changes whilst people are looking at the site. Even minor changes aren't a huge chore anymore, and this is why more and more people are turning to the SiteFront way.
The only upload anyone has to do, are media such as images. Our latest release now makes this process consistent throughout Neetrix, and also allows people to upload multiple files at the same time, much like you can when simply copying files from one part of your computer to another.
SiteFront recieved another update today to add a new feature that now gives Neetrix businesses the ability to switch the sharing of content off for specific pages.
Sharing content allows you to add information to sections of your website without having to replicate it when you need it on more than one page.
Neetrix keeps this simple by giving you the option to switch on sharing for each individual element of content. When enabled, that element of content will be shown in all of the sub-pages of that page.
This update provides the facility to not show that shared content on individual sub-pages when it isn't necessary. By selecting to option to "hide shared content" in the settings of any page, the shared content will disappear from the page.
The feedback that we have been getting from those using Neetrix to run their business sites has been fantastic, and what's more, we've been acting on all the contructive comments we have received. One in particular was the concept of Site Areas, which we found that people couldn't quite grasp what they were for quick enough.
We strive to ensure that Neetrix is easy to use, but want to balance that out with providing the flexibility of allowing businesses to really make use of a professional website. Removing the Site Areas was tricky, as we didn't want to lose the functionality they gave, but we have managed to do this. This has meant that websites now only contain webpages, which, inturn, can contain sub-pages. This means you can still group pages together, but in a much simpler way.
This update has already been released, and next time you log into your Neetrix account, you will be able to see the difference already.

SiteFront recieved a significant update today that provides significant optimisation for SiteFront powered websites, a big improvement to the WYSIWYG editor for both websites and blogs, and also the upload and file management facilities throughout Neetrix have been updated to provide the convenience of uploading multiple files at once.
As always, you do not need to do anything to get these new features in your account. They are already available now, and you can see them as soon as you next log into your Neetrix account!

Another update for SiteFront as the easy of use is continously enhanced based on feedback of our customers, this time the page editor now has easier "click to place" content instead of the original selecting which area you want to put your new content.
