Information is the new gold, and keeping your precious data safe requires the very best in security measures.
Along with further updates to the Neetrix system, as well work being carried out on the, soon to be announced, 7th product in the Neetrix online business software suite, the strongest 256bit encryption layer was added to the administration site to ensure that your data and your customers data remains ultimately safe.
After the latest updates, our efforts to ever improve the efficiency of websites was evidently illustrated, when a new customer decided to move their DotNetNuke site from a dedicated server to the Neetrix platform.
Unknown to us they made their own independent tests after the site was moved, to test the time the pages were served to the web browser as they didn't want the site to slow down for their customers and potential customers. In DNN they measured a reasonable response time average of 0.6 seconds. They immediately came to us when they were shocked to find exactly same test on their new Neetrix website has the average response time of 0.1 seconds. That is a whole 6 times faster, and as small as 0.6 and 0.1 seconds are, they found it very much noticeable in using the new site.
They were also anxious to tell us that they tested the site through Y-Slow, Yahoo's FireFox tool that gives sites gradings based on the way that the site is served to the web browser. On the DNN platform they received Grade F, which we later found to be common place with most websites, showing little effective website provisioning. After moving to Neetrix they were once again shocked to find their site go straight to Grade A.
So, not only had they saved money on hosting the website, but they found it quicker and easier to manage, and the site was more responsive to use. Which means they should get better search engine rankings in due course. A win on all counts!
Ever since the Neetrix platform was a twinkle in the eye, it has always been the top of our priorities to ensure that the system is always responsive, and that includes SiteFront sites as well.
Today saw another update that spearhead the clean look and feel of the administration area whilst improving the already very fast response times even more, and adding additional means to ensure SiteFront business websites are also faster.
People like fast websites, and this has even been highlighted by Google where they now include the response times into their page ranking. What this means is that if a competitor site is faster than your own business site, they will have better search engine ranking that you will. This is why we take response times so seriously, as a successful website is based up how well it is found.
Improvements were also made to the way page content is managed within SiteFront based on the feedback we received, so that it is more apparent to where you are adding content on the page, and easier to understand the different areas to which content is accepted.
We would like to thank everyone that has sent us feedback. It has really helped to shape Neetrix into the great business software solution. There is more planned improvements but will now place all of the development effort into completing the StoreFront which a lot of our clients have been eagerly waiting for.
On the news today, there was an interesting article regarding the usual doom and gloom for the recession. Whilst some bigger businesses are cutting jobs left and right, there was one positive note from Dominos, the high street pizza delivery company, who has actually been making a considerable increase in turnover infact 10% where others have been dropping a similar amount.
In times when people seem to have less money, or should I say, are more aware of their spending, eating out is definately off the list, and eating in becomes the preferred way to save both time and money. This may partly explain how a company like this may stay so strong in such a climate, but what really made Dominos stick out in comparison to their competitors? According to Dominos, it was their online sales platform that had the most significant impact in the increase in sales.
This is true with many online retailers we speak to. They are finding their online stores increase with people shopping online. I suppose it is obvious that when everyone starts counting the pennies, they'll automatically look for the lowest price tags they can, and that means looking online.
If your business isn't selling online, you could be missing a massive market potential. Now with Neetrix, it is easier and more cost effective than ever to do so. Be sure to register today, and get ahead of your competitors.
One of the hardest technical challenges when developing web based applications like Neetrix, especially when it includes advanced page editing systems like Neetrix SiteFront CMS, is making it all work across all the different operating systems and web browsers.
This is something easily taken for granted, but to actually accomplish some ideal user screens, even on today's modern browsers, can be difficult. Even with browsers following standards, they interpret many things differently.
Today we put out another update from over Christmas and the New Year, that handles some of these challenges, ensuring that Neetrix isn't just compatible with one or two web browsers, but across all major web browsers, on all major operating systems.
We look forward to this month's development as we continue with Neetrix StoreFront ecommerce and product management application, and the CRM (customer relationship manager) that comes with it.
On behalf of the entire Neetrix Team, I'd like to say Happy New Year to all our partners, customers and visitors.
2009 is going to be a very exciting year for everyone at Neetrix, and even more so to the businesses that use it!
All the latest from the Neetrix team. What is just out, coming up and related interesting industry news.
